What Perfume Oils Can You Use to Make Perfume?

Can any perfume oil be used to make perfume? Learn the difference between raw fragrance materials and finished roll-on perfume oils.

This search gets confusing because “perfume oil” can describe very different products.

Some fragrance materials are sold specifically as ingredients for perfume formulation.

Other products called perfume oils are already finished fragrances intended to be worn directly on the body.

Those are not automatically interchangeable.

Always check the manufacturer's intended use before trying to formulate anything.

Lily Essences roll-ons are finished, ready-to-wear personal fragrances.

They are not raw perfume-making ingredients and are not sold as supplies for creating another fragrance.

If your goal is DIY perfumery, look specifically for ingredients supplied for that purpose and follow the supplier's usage and safety information.

If your goal is simply to smell good?

The perfume is already finished for you.
